WEKSEK
Weksek is a religion based on the visions experienced during shamanic drumming journeys, in the way performed by the Shamans of the Mazatec Indians of Oaxaca in Mexico.
These drumming journeys were over several months spaced about a week apart.
In all of these shamanic drumming journeys there were visions with a common theme in every vision. The information in these visions contained the basis for the Weksek religion. In the visions the religion was given by Souls or Spirits of plant beings.
The visions were however just as real as the reality of normal life.
Some time after the last drumming journey the writings of the Weksek religion were written down over the course of three days. On each of these three days, over the course of one hour in each day, a third of the writings were revealed and written down.
Weksek is an earth based religion which emphasizes the connection to nature and celebration of the passing seasons. It also emphasizes a connection to spiritual entities such as the spirits of plants, the great female spirit of joy and peace, known as Kena and the Pure Awareness from which all consciousness and life originates from.
All of the teachings of Weksek are contained in one short book, The Book of Weksek. The book contains five sections and each section contains twenty five verses. The Book outlines the way of life that a follower of Weksek should try to follow and meditation and visualization techniques that will enable the follower to train the mind be able to follow the Weksek way of life.
In the Book of Weksek the section "Reflections of Weksek" is directly realized from the visions, The Scroll of Weksek is from the visions and the revelations given over one of the three days some time after the last vision. The two sections Prayers and Laws are inspired from the Scroll and the visions. The Concept Words in the section "Book of Days" came in a similar way as the Scroll, one evening after the last vision the words were written down within an hour, on one of the three days some time after the last vision. Later the words were arranged in alphabetical order and it was found that at eight particular points in the order concepts in the visions were found. As there where 366 words these could relate to times in the year. The visions were a language, a communication of the way things are and a method to obtain joy and peace, hence Wek Sek.
Ultimately this message has come from the Pure Awareness, through the mediation of the great consciousness of joy and peace, Kena and the plant consciousness which is urging humans to become more connected to each other and nature.
